At the January 16, 2024 Special Council Meeting, Council requested that a motion come forward regarding future participation in the Municipal Innovation Council.

Councillor McLean has prepared a Notice of Motion regarding the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry's Directive under Conservation Authorities Act related to planning and development fees.

The attached resolution has been prepared to ratify Council members attending secondary conferences in 2024 as per the Council Conference and Convention Policy.

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton are holding another Special Council Meeting to consider the 2024 Municipal Budget on February 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cargill Community Centre.

Staff wish to determine if Council would like to support the request from the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors.

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton will enter into Closed Session in order to address matters pertaining to:

  • Labour relations or employee negotiations - Staffing Update
  • Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board - Provincial Offences Act Matter
  • Advice that is subject to solicitor/client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Municipal Facility Consideration
  • A position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiation carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board - Utility Company Negotiation
