Councillor B. Carl Kuhnke will bring forward a Notice of Motion for Council's consideration.

Fire chiefs across Bruce County collectively declared a fire ban on all open-air burning, with the exception of campfires for cooking and warmth which is in effect until further notice.

Truth and Reconciliation Brockton are hosting a Saugeen River Water Blessing on June 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lobies Park, guided by Ojibway and Mohawk Elder Shirley John of Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation followed by Storytelling with Potawatomi and Ojibway Elder Priscilla Yellowhead Tobey.

Colborne Street will be temporarily closed on June 16, 2023 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for the unveiling of a sculpture in honour of Walkerton Horticultural Society's past president, Nancy Bajurny, at the corner of South Street and Colborne Street in Walkerton at 11:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend the unveiling ceremony.

Yonge Street between Durham Street and Jackson Street in Walkerton will be closed mid-June to November 2023 to complete reconstruction of the road. Stay updated by visiting our Yonge Street Reconstruction project on our community engagement website, Build Your Brockton.

The Ontario Public Service (OPS) have launched the 2023 Indigenous Internship Program providing Indigenous students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain knowledge, develop skills, and build relationships that will strengthen their future employment prospects in the labour market, while contributing to Ontario’s diverse and inclusive public service. Candidates can apply until June 21, 2023.
