Nominations are open for the Brockton Good Neighbour Award and the Outstanding Youth Award until June 1, 2023 at Noon. Complete an online Nomination Form on our Volunteer Appreciation webpage, or contact Deputy Clerk, Sarah Johnson for assistance.

The June 6, 2023 Council Meeting will instead occur at the Bruce County Council Chambers and the June 20, 2023 Council Meeting will occur at the Cargill Community Centre.

Westario Power Inc. have rescheduled their Shareholders Meeting to June 28, 2023, and staff require a new resolution to be passed by Council to appoint another staff member as a shareholder. 

The Brockton Parks and Recreation Department are offering a "When I Grow Up" theme week at summer daycamp featuring educational information on various jobs/professions. The camp will run the week of July 31st. Council are invited to attend on Monday, July 31st or Thursday, August 3rd in the morning to explain the role of municipal government to youth ages 4-12.


Staff wish to determine whether Mayor Peabody, or other members of Council are interested in participating in the camp, and the specific date they wish to attend. 

Staff wish to know which Council members would like to attend the Blyth Festival performance on June 28, 2023.

Staff wish to know the delegation topics Council would like to submit for consideration at the AMO Conference on August 20-23, 2023

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton will enter into Closed Session in order to address matters pertaining to:

  • Labour relations or employee negotiations - Staffing Update
  • Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board - Small Claims Court Matter
  • Advice that is subject to solicitor/client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Equipment Matter Instructions
  • A position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiation carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board - Water Use Agreement, Facility User Group Agreement, Proposed Lease Agreement
